Toronto RNB Duo DVSN Releases New Song ‘Don’t Choose’

Posted: June 23rd, 2017

After Drake released his new track ‘Signs’ at SS18 Louis Vuitton show, OVO Sound co-founder Oliver El-Khatib promised more music from the label. Keeping true to that promise, amongst a wave of new music from Majid Jordan and PARTYNEXTDOOR as well, comes a brand new track called ‘Don’t Choose’ from DVSN. Serving as their second release this year, after ‘Think About Me’, the track features a familiar sound from Daniel Daley but we’re not mad at it. ‘Don’t Choose’ is a plea of confusion and love from the lead vocalist; A back-and-forth relationship, which we can all relate to. Lyrics here. Listen below.

The duo started making waves in 2015 with the release of their song ‘With Me’ and, eventually, their debut album ‘Sept 5th’ released in 2016. DVSN started out as an unknown entity similar to how The Weeknd began. People scrambled to try to figure out who he (or they) were and how to even pronounce their name; It has since been figured out that DVSN (pronounced “division”) is producer Nineteen85 and vocalist Daniel Daley. Despite being faceless at the time, their debut album still peaked at number 17 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
