Jazz Cartier was the obvious fan favourite at Danforth Music Hall. The Toronto based rapper had the crowd in an absolute trance, quickly switching between intense mosh pits and rows of kids throwing their phones up in awe. After performing several cuts from his debut mixtape Marauding in Paradise, Jazz brought out Castro Guapo and Fiji of the Torontobased rap collective CMDWN to perform their recently popular single “We Are Not.”
Rae Sremmurd showed everyone in Danforth Music Hall why they are the most energetic duo in hip hop right now. Swae Lee and Slim Jimmi performed numerous hits from their debut project SremmLife and had the crowd moving for the entirety of the show. Their energy combined with beats from the likes of Mike Will MadeIt and Young Chop is like no other. Everyone left the building that night wanting another hour of Rae Sremmurd.
