This tour was so unmissable that the Bluesfest directors added an entire extra day just to accommodate it. “The Full Flex Express” tour rolled into Ottawa with a boat load of crazy artists– wait– we mean a train load. Inspired by the Grateful Dead’s “Festival Express” tour in the 1970’s, Jack Ü, and guests will travel across Canada by VIA Rail starting in Ottawa, ON, ending in Pemberton, BC.
Much different from the first Full Flex in 2012 that featured exclusively electro acts, this year has a palette suited for many tastes from Hundred Waters to Kiesza and, of course, Jack Ü. Among those acts was ASAP Ferg from the 945-member collective, ASAP Mob. (Just kidding, there are 8 members according to Complex Magazine). In true trap fashion, the show began with high energy and stayed turnt till the end with even the most innocent of faces spitting the lewdest and loudest of lyrics. Fergenstein left no part of the stage untouched, jumping from amp to amp and even into the crowd with his fans. Alongside ASAP was his DJ, the son of legendary Jam Master Jay, TJ Mizell, and the face of Trap Lord, Marty Baller. Together they shut the stage down and lit a fire under the first night of Bluesfest 2015.
